Today the 69th Aruba Carnaval Parade will be taking place in San Nicolas.
Once again, six groups will be participating, during which they will give it their all.
As is the case nearly every year, the Police Force will front the parade together with the leaders of SMAC. They will be holding the opening banner that announces “Aruba’s 69th Grand Parade”.
Royal Carnival Group will be the first group because they have the Aruba Carnaval Queen. The theme of their group is Players C69. They have a total of 100 participants. They will be accompanied by NBO and the leaders of the group are Kevin James and Jeandre Myers.
They also have a section titled Treasures of Dubai.
The second group is Champagne Carnival Group, which has 540 participants and will be accompanied by Tsunami.
They are accompanied by the 1st Runner-up for Youth Queen, Sikki Asencion.
They have five sections: Lion King, Wizard of Oz, Broadway Visitors, Cinderella, and Phantom of the Opera. The leaders of the group are Lienchi Merryweather and Betsabeth Rasmijn.
TOB Carnival Group will be the third group and their theme is “Asi es mi Peru”. They are accompanied by the Colegio Arubano Carnaval Queen. This group has 47 tourists who are also participating as a part of the group.
They have three sections and a total of 655 participants.
They will be musically accompanied by both Groove Masters as well as ‘Nfuzion.
The fourth group is “Los Laga Bai”. Their theme for this year is Umoja.
Los Laga Bai has a total of 350 participants and only one section.
Musically, they will be accompanied by Robert JeanD’oe and his One Band Show. The leader of the group is Joanne Croes.
Empire Carnival Group is the fifth group and their theme for this year is Festivals.
They have a total of 322 participants and their sections are Cherry Blossoms, Tomorrowland, and Coachella. The leaders of the group are JR Morales and Queeny Bergen.
They will be accompanied by Buleria.
The sixth and final group will be Infinity Carnival Group, with a total of 200 participants.
They have two sections and the leader of the group is Julissa Hernandis.
The last lap band is Youth X-treme Band.
