Minister Dangui Oduber: yet another successful Jump18 comes to an end

Friday night, after a successful run, the closing ceremony for JUMP 18 took place.

JUMP18 is a program affiliated with Horacio Oduber Hospital designed to help children at risk of obesity. The program was started on November 18th in 2021 in an attempt to make a difference, motivate and inspire.

According to Minister Oduber, the program works in a preventative manner. For the first time in history, Aruba has a national prevention plan for non-transmissible diseases (NCDs) that has been approved by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

The JUMP 18 program creates opportunities for all those involved, which includes the parents as well as the children. One of the program’s main goals is to help both the parents as well as the children live healthier lives by educating them on how to do so, expanding their ideas on the subject.

Minister Dangui Oduber congratulates the entire JUMP18 team, including its founder Dr. Jamiu Busari and the “senior researcher” of this program.

Minister Oduber would also like to thank all those who sponsored the program as well as HOH for supervising the program.
