If you are caught driving while drunk, you will definitely be detained. Monday morning at around 1:00 am, the police stopped a black Toyota Passo in Caya Ernesto Petronia near the roundabout in Ponton.
They saw that the vehicle was being driven badly and immediately approached the driver to tell him to stop. The officers asked the driver for the vehicle’s registry and documentation when they could clearly tell the man behind the wheel was intoxicated. He was immediately detained and a police transport vehicle was requested to bring him to the police station.
While the driver was being detained, the passenger was left stranded. They were not able to continue on driving the vehicle as they did not have a valid driver’s license. One of the officers moved the car and parked it on the side of the road so that it would not impede traffic.
