A tradition has ended up becoming an annual event for a group of good friends during special days such as Good Friday. Vladimir Wolff, who is the organizer of the “Landamento di Cruz” or Swimming with the Cross, told us of their journey into the water.
They compare this swim with the crusade but with the obvious difference that it takes place in the water. This Swim with a Cross does not necessarily have any connection to religion, but serves as a time to get together and reflect and accomplish something as a team.
This year will be the tenth edition of this swim, which is very special for everyone involved. One year was skipped due to the pandemic, but they were sure to continue the tradition as soon as possible again. This all started out with a small group of three friends and now it has grown into a special event that roughly 50 people participate in.
As for this weekend, we advise everyone to keep our beaches clean during and after the camping season. A huge thank you goes out to all swimmers and kayak teams who supported the participants and ensured their safety.
