This past weekend the “Bolas Criollas Curaçao” commission held a tremendous international bolas tournament on the Suvek field. With the participation of 11 teams from Bonaire, 18 teams from Aruba, and 38 teams from Curacao.
Aruba battled hard and managed to qualify in both the male and female categories. In the female category, the teams that qualified are Jo Bolas, JB Stars, Rolling Ball, Tira Malo Pega Bon, Headache, and Papaya Ranch. For the male category, the teams that qualified are Querendones, We Are Back, Headache, Tira Malo Pega Bon, Biba Dushi, and JB Stars.
Last Sunday was the final and all teams fought hard to make it to the end.
The results are as follows:
Female teams:
Third place: Headache (AUA);
Second place: Rasta Girlz (BON);
First place: Papaya Ranch (AUA);
Male teams:
Third place: Tom & Jerry (CUR);
Second place: Tira Malo Pega Bon (AUA);
First place: Fugada (CUR);
Papaya Ranch, as representatives of Aruba for the Bolas Criollas in the Caribbean committee thanks “Komishon Bolas Criollas Curaçao” for the invitation. They also thank all 18 participating teams for properly representing Aruba and bringing home prizes.
