We could not believe our ears when we heard there was yet another fire at the dump. But low and behold it could be seen from a distance as some drivers even indicated seeing huge flames from Green Corridor.
At around 11:00 pm, authorities could be seen in the area while personnel activated in such cases started investigating and deliberating what steps to take next.
The fire grew to an alarming size but this has become such a regular event despite the fact that it is tied to a huge fine so it was definitely not expected to happen anymore.
We await the day when they come up with a lasting solution for this dangerous and unsavory issue that keeps happening at the dump in Parkietenbos.
