Rear-windshield broken due to a mishap

Monday afternoon at around 12:05 pm, the owner of a blue Honda Fit noticed that their rear-windshield was broken.

The vehicle was parked in the Aruba Trading Company parking lot, where some maintenance work was being conducted. A contractor was using a machine to cut the gras in and around Caya Grandi, and they were likely not paying attention the moment a rock got hit by the machine and flew into the air, hitting and shattering the windshield. The owner of the car alerted authorities right away and also contacted their insurance to notify them of the situation. In turn, DOW’s head of infrastructure Daryl Lue himself came to the scene to take responsibility.

He exchanged phone numbers and emails with the owner of the Honda and assured them that DOW will take full responsibility for this incident.
