Late Sunday night at around 11:30 pm, an accident occurred on a road in Hato headed in the direction of Elmar. Here, a blue Hyundai Accent hit a pedestrian who was walking on the side of the road.
The accident occurred as the pedestrian was headed in the direction of EPB, when they were hit by a car.
Due to the impact of the collision, the victim ended up around a meter from where they were hit, in the bushes on the side of the road.
The police as well as an ambulance were called to the scene right away to tend to the injured man. He was taken to the hospital for further medical care.
