Saturday morning at around 1:00 a.m., the police rushed to Mandolinstraat to tend to a brawl. A discussion broke out and escalated to physical violence. The fight was between a man and his father-in-law, and unsurprisingly, alcohol played a major role.
Upon their arrival, the police encountered the father-in-law in the middle of the road and the man outside in his yard. The father-in-law was covered in blood and the man was yelling at him from the yard to get ready for more if he tried anything again. The police tried to intervene but neither party wanted to listen to reason. They were both given another chance for peace, but they did not manage it.
The police were left with no other option but to detain the father in law. When the police went to detain the father-in-law, the man started feeling sorry for him all of a sudden, and started becoming aggressive with the officers. The police, therefore, decided it would be best to detain the man as well. The duo was transported to the police station separately, where they will have to present in front of a persecutor who will determine their fate.
