Saturday morning just before 2:00 am, the police encountered a vehicle parked on the side of L. G. Smith Boulevard, just past Wind Creek Crystal Casino. The car was a white Kia Rio.
The police just so happened to be looking for a vehicle with this same description in relation to a hit-and-run that had occurred earlier that evening. The police struck the jackpot because they noticed that the front of this Kia Rio was damaged in a way that matched the previous collision.
They are 99% sure that this is the vehicle they are searching for. The driver was detained for driving under the influence of alcohol and appeared not to have any recollection of having been involved in an accident at all.
