Police officers went to inspect a van parked on the field in Santa Cruz late last night. According to our sources, the van had been parked there for quite a while.
This occurred at around 4:45 a.m., and the driver was found behind the wheel, with his foot on the gas, and deep in sleep. All signs point to him keeping his foot on the gas until the engine exploded, which is what prevented the car from being able to drive any further.
On the one hand, this may have been for the best, as it likely prevented an inevitable accident if he had been on the road in this state.
Upon their arrival, the police went to inspect the situation and found the intoxicated man asleep behind the wheel. They detained him right away and transported him to the police station.
