This case reached the court earlier this year. It was a total coincidence that authorities noticed something strange on the children’s (now ages seven and eight) tablet. From there, the case developed further until Erick Alexander Gamez appeared in front of the judge yesterday.
The abuse spanned over a two-year period during which this man sexually abused his two sons from 2021 until the start of this year.
This man is primarily accused abusing the two young boys when they were five and six years old. He reportedly penetrated the children and also rubbed his private parts on their genitals as well.
The police listened to both of the children separately, one of who is a special needs, and have determined that their declarations match up.
There were pornographic websites found on the children’s tablet, to which the judge says that it is doubtful that a five year old child would know how to get to those sites. The same pornographic websites were found on Erick’s phone as well. Nevertheless, he vehemently denies having touched his children inappropriately. “I love my children and I would never do that to them.”
The judge was not buying the accused’s lies and ordered him to six and a half years in prison. The sentencing will take place on the 1st of December.
