On Saturday morning around 3:10 a.m., the police were called to Paradera to tend to a car that had lost control and collided with a tree and a lamppost. The car sustained a significant amount of material damage and the driver was detained for operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
The young driver was spared a lot of hassle because the lamppost remained practically intact and the power supply to the neighborhood was not affected. As was mentioned earlier, the car suffered extensive damages and was practically destroyed.
The police tested the driver’s alcohol level, and then arrested the driver shortly after when the test showed that he had exceeded the legal limit.
