For the first time, Aruba will participate in an international rhythmic gymnastics competition

This is undoubtedly very positive news for Aruban sports, particularly in the realm of gymnastics according to Miguel Ortiz, President of Perla Gymnastics.

This will be the first time that Aruba participates in a South American competition as a team, representing Aruba in the Rhythmic Gymnastics category.

The children have been training for approximately eight months. Coach Adriana is in charge of the team along with another person who came from Cuba to strengthen the competition. “We are extremely pleased with the work that Coach Ida has done under the guidance of Coach Adriana.”

Ortiz mentioned that there were initially many factors that were hindering their ability to participate, but at the end of the day, the parents gave their full support, ensuring that the children could represent Aruba.

In total, there will be 11 children participating.
