On Saturday at around 1:30 in the afternoon, a rental Jeep randomly caught on fire while out on a drive enjoying our island. The Jeep caught fire on the way from Bushiri to Hato. The Fire Department was rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire in the engine.
In complete desperation, the tourists tried to put out the fire themselves by using a cloth to smother the flames.
The rental company was notified of the situation. Fortunately, no one was injured.
