On Friday at 7:11 pm, a serious accident occurred near the CITGO in Savaneta. Here, a car hit two pedestrians. One of the victims, a male tourist, was in critical condition. An ambulance rushed to the scene and managed to stabilize him before he was urgently transported to the hospital.
The other victim, a female tourist, also suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital shortly afterward.
The car that hit the two pedestrians fled the scene. After a rapid investigation, Traffic Police located the car at a residence in Tamarijn. The driver was arrested, and the car was confiscated for further investigation.
Unfortunately, early this morning at 1:00 a.m., Dr. Nommerman announced that the male tourist had passed away.
The deceased was identified as 75-year-old Ali Biner, born in the United States.
