On Friday night, the police stopped a Nissan in Scotlandstraat for a routine inspection.
The moment the driver saw the blue lights, he started to sweat. During the inspection, the driver could not present a driver’s license, let alone an identification from Aruba. It immediately raised suspicion that the driver was an undocumented person on our island.
Indeed, a little later at the police station, this was confirmed. The driver was arrested and taken to the police station. There he will be handed over to Guarda Nos Costa (immigration authorities), and the deportation process will begin.
