On Saturday at around 12:40 am, the police were called to the Ponton Roundabout. There, they encountered a driver of a Hyundai Tucson, who had apparently crashed onto the roundabout in Ponton on Watty Vos Boulevard.
It turned out that the driver was quite drunk and had fallen asleep behind the wheel. They detained and transported him in a police vehicle. The driver caused damage to both the car and the roundabout.
Luckily, the driver did not sustain any injuries, but he was detained for drunk driving. The driver failed to stop in time and swerved onto the roundabout. This has been happening quite frequently lately on these roads where some intoxicated individuals drive recklessly and cannot control their vehicles.
