On Saturday night, the motorized police unit encountered a car driving erratically in Paradera, headed to Tanki Leendert.
Just before the roundabout, the police signaled the driver to stop. Instead of stopping, the driver immediately tried to escape upon seeing the police. The officers quickly mounted their motorcycles and chased after the car. Shortly after the roundabout, they managed to stop the man.
He was accompanied by a woman. A breathalyzer test indicated that the driver was intoxicated. The police arrested the man immediately and transported him to the station. The car remained parked on the side of the road.
