In Monserat, Noord, there is an unfortunate issue involving smelly dirty water. Several residents of this area have called to complain that they find the smell very unpleasant. This is due to the foul-smelling sewage water overflowing from the manhole and flowing towards Palm Beach.
The situation is such that it’s not just a small amount of water coming out, as there is already quite a bit of water on the road. Motorists are driving through this water and splashing it onto the sidewalks. Those wishing to use the ATM cannot do anything else and have to pass through this filthy water.
For some time now, this situation has been occurring 24 hours a day. It has come to the point where this is something that has taken place in the hotel area, San Nicolas, and at the beach. Vehicles are passing over this water, which is contaminating and emitting an unpleasant odor.
The Department of Public Works (DOW) has arrived at the site to assess the situation. It is believed that within a couple of hours, they will identify where the problem lies and resolve it. They hope to deploy their personnel on standby to address and remedy this unpleasant situation.
