Thirty-eighth Aruba International Half Marathon: Alexander Hodge and Lana Gobert were the overall winners

On Sunday at 5:30 am, in front of Joe Laveist Sport Park in San Nicolas, Minister of Education and Sports, Endy Croes, gave the starting signal for the total of 895 individuals participating.

Alexander Hodge was the first runner to cross the finish line with a time of 1:19:01, the second runner to cross the finish line was Rick James with a time of 1:19:30, and the third male runner to cross the finish line was Aric Champagne.

As for the female runners, the first woman to cross the finish line was Lana Gobert with a time of 1:30:19, the second woman to cross the finish line was Tatiana Villa with a time of 1:34:59, followed by Rebecca Jansen who crossed the finish line with a time of 1:35:41.

It was also highlighted that IBiSA included a Kids Run for the first time in this event which garnered a lot of attention.

The idea behind this is to introduce children to competition at a recreational level from a young age, but with the intention for them to continue participating and become long-distance runners in the future.

There was a very cheerful and exciting atmosphere where family members, acquaintances, and fans were gathered around the finish area and also the podium where the winners were awarded.

The members of the IBiSa Management Team, Wladimir Wolff and Jessy Beukenboom, presented the main prizes, while William Erasmus, Head of Communication, Francis Tromp, Race Coordinator, Kamilah Dammers, Head of School Sports, and Mildred Wever, School Sports Coordinator, presented various other prizes.

IBiSA would like to congratulate all the winners and participants, and also express gratitude to all the institutions that collaborated with the 38th Aruba International Half Marathon, such as the Ministry of Education and Sports, Aruba Police Force, Fire Department, DOW, FFD, Red Cross, EMS-Aruba, Motor Unit Aruba, Patrishi Sports, Alhambra Casino, the large group of volunteers, and finally, all the staff and personnel of IBiSA, from the Management Team, thanks to one and all.
