On Monday at 7:00 am, an accident occurred at the intersection of Caya Milio Croes and Awacatistraat.
An SUV on Awacatistraat heading north failed to yield to oncoming traffic while turning onto Caya Milio Croes. A pickup truck was heading towards Playa on the main road when the SUV hit it on the driver’s side. The collision caused the pickup to spin 180 degrees.
During this maneuver, the pickup truck knocked over a traffic sign, broke a wheel, and caused more damage under the vehicle.
In the pickup truck’s bed, there was a jug and a generator, which were both thrown further down the road.
A tow truck was needed to remove both vehicles from the scene. Luckily, there were no injuries.
