Serious case in Brazil: Suspect’s dogs attack and badly bite two police officers

On Friday morning, the police went to deal with a difficult situation involving a 29-year-old man named G. Lopez. This man is mentally disabled and lives in Brazil. On more than one occasion, he has blocked the street and disrupted traffic. He also throws rocks at cars, causing serious damage at times.

Early on Friday morning, he was throwing large rocks at cars next to the SPO school in Brazil. Vehicles could hardly pass. The police were called to assess the situation. They went to the man’s address to speak with him. Upon their arrival at the home, the man released four aggressive dogs at the officers. The dogs attacked and bit the two policemen at the scene.

The officers suffered numerous bites, with one officer receiving more bites than the other. The police drew their firearms and fired warning shots. This scared the dogs, and they retreated behind the house. Reinforcements were requested and arrived promptly. Police transportation was requested for the suspect. He intentionally released the dogs to attack the police officers. The suspect, G. Lopez, was successfully apprehended, all while threatening the police officers.

An ambulance was called to tend to the injuries. Two police officers went to IMSAN for treatment, and afterward, they were able to return home with several bites on their bodies. The suspect remains in custody pending a decision by the Public Prosecutor’s Office. This man is a serious problem in Brazil, and his address is known to the authorities. Residents are also living in fear. It is hoped that action will be taken this time. He has already caused enough damage by throwing rocks at cars or blocking the street.
