Two cars collided in Bloemond

On Wednesday afternoon at around 6:40 pm, an accident occurred at the Bloemond intersection in Paradera. This accident happened because the driver of the pickup truck did not turn off their turn signal. The accident involved an orange Nissan March and a black Hilux pickup truck.

The driver of the Nissan March saw the truck approaching, but because the truck had its signal on to turn right, they decided to merge nonetheless. As the March merged onto the road, the driver realized too late that the pickup truck was not turning, resulting in the collision.

Both traffic police and insurance representatives arrived at the scene to document the accident. An ambulance was called to tend to a person complaining of pain and to check on a baby in one of the cars. Upon the ambulance’s arrival, paramedics checked the person experiencing pain and also examined the baby, who did not sustain any injuries. The Nissan March suffered material damage to its side and front, while the pickup truck did not sustain much material damage.
