Closure of Wilhelminastraat postponed for one day

Wilhelminastraat was scheduled to partially close on Wednesday morning at 9:00. However, not everything went according to schedule, so the plans had to be postponed for a day.

Closing a part of Wilhelminastraat is necessary to proceed with the second phase of the Revitalization project in that area. The part to be closed starts at El Gaucho towards Marios Sportshop.

According to our sources, the company wasn’t ready to start work on Wednesday morning and requested to postpone the start date to Thursday instead.

Therefore, drivers need to be aware that if they’re heading towards the city center, they should take Ooststraat, and if they’re going the other way, they should take the route via Lagoen.

The project spans thirty days of work, barring any unforeseen circumstances, as occurred during the first phase of Revitalization. However, it must be said that the first phase consisted of major pipeline repairs, which caused the delay.

To reach the headquarters of Headlines Group, 24ora.com, and the morning newspaper TREMPAN, located in the Layex Building, you must take the route via Lagoen.

So starting on Thursday, motorists won’t be able to use a section of Wilhelminastraat for thirty days.
