On Wednesday night at around 10:00 pm, the police rushed to John G. Emanstraat to tend to a palm tree that was set on fire. The situation was urgent because the fire threatened a nearby business as well as some electrical wires.
According to a witness, a masked individual was seen at the scene. This person proceeded to set the palm tree on fire. Upon their arrival, the police closed off the street, preventing people from getting too close to the fire.
The fire department arrived to extinguish the fire. After a while, they managed to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading.
