Early in the morning, at around 5:55 am, the driver of a gold Ford Figo left the parking lot of Lekker. Naturally, leaving at that hour from the nightclub doesn’t imply being in a good condition, and that was indeed the case. The intoxicated driver collided with a parked blue Honda Fit.
The driver attempted to flee the scene, but unfortunately for him, a patrol car happened to be passing by and witnessed the incident. Immediately, they tended to the driver.
It turned out that the man was heavily intoxicated, and when the breathalyzer test was administered, he surpassed the legal limit by a lot. He was detained and transported to the police station. While the police were conducting a search in the car, they found a significant amount of drugs, including cocaine. All of it was confiscated.
