Last night, at around 8:00 pm, a woman was driving her silver Hyundai Getz when she suddenly had to pull over. She had just come down from the roundabout at Sabana Blanco and was heading towards the roundabout at the airport when her car broke down.
The police arrived to close off the road as the driver and her passenger evacuated the vehicle. The car then caught on fire, for which two fire trucks arrived to provide assistance.
According to reports, the driver was supposed to travel the next morning but all her documents were burned in the car. This caused her a lot of stress, leading to heart palpitations and eventually, she fainted.
An ambulance arrived and the paramedics tended to the distressed woman.
