On Wednesday night, a severe accident occurred between a Mitsubishi Lancer and a Hyundai Accent on the road to Hooiberg. At the scene, it was observed that this accident was quite serious. There were people trapped in both vehicles, for which the fire department was called to cut them free. Also, three ambulance units arrived to provide first aid to the victims.
After a brief struggle, the firefighters managed to extract the first victim from the Hyundai Accent. The man had severe injuries to his body and was bleeding profusely. He was transported to the hospital for advanced medical care. The second victim also had his face covered in blood due to the impact against the Mitsubishi Lancer.
The second fire fighting unit was working on the door of the Mitsubishi Lancer to extract the victims trapped inside the car.
After a while, the door was successfully cut and the man could be extracted, another male, who was transported to the hospital with utmost urgency.
According to our sources, of the three injured individuals, two are in critical condition.
There was significant material damage to both cars.
