Speed check on Watty Vos Boulevard

On Saturday afternoon, the motorcycle police conducted a speed check on Watty Vos Boulevard. They strategically parked between the roundabouts of Ponton and Bushiri.

While one officer stood further up ahead, measuring the speed and informing others stationed at the Bushiri roundabout about the speed of the cars, several cars were stopped, and several fines were issued. What resulted from this check was that several taxi drivers were stopped. While transporting tourists, they were driving at high speeds.

After issuing several fines, they moved to another location. A large number of motorists were exceeding 110 kilometers per hour. The community is encouraged to be mindful of their speed in traffic.
