On Monday night at around 9:40 pm, the police arrived at the beach in front of the former Bushiri Hotel. Upon their arrival, they found an elderly woman who was asking for help.
In her statement to the police, she said that “they” had hit her and left her lying there. However, because she was speaking somewhat incoherently and her statement was somewhat contradictory, the police took her details and further investigation would need to determine exactly what happened.
An ambulance arrived to transport the woman to the hospital.
