Early Saturday morning, at around 4:00 am, a dark blue Suzuki Swift hit a person in Tanki Leendert. After the incident, the driver left the scene, leaving the victim injured and lying on the road. However, upon realizing his mistake, the driver returned to the scene.An ambulance arrived urgently to attend to the pedestrian, who suffered a head injury and received necessary medical attention. Meanwhile, the police closed off the road to gather information on the accident.The driver, who was visibly under the influence of alcohol, was detained. After undergoing necessary tests to measure his condition, and testing positive for intoxication, he was taken to the police station. There, he appeared before a prosecutor to account for his actions. The vehicle itself sustained damage to its front lights and side mirror due to the impact.Meanwhile, the victim was taken to the hospital for more advanced medical treatment.
