PKF Mentorship Program “Unlocking Gen-Z Potential” concludes with Jeon as guest speaker

PKF Aruba’s mentorship program, the first and only one of its kind on the island focusing entirely on senior students, concluded today. On Monday, May 6th, the final session of PKF Financial Services Aruba’s “Unlocking Gen-Z Potential” mentorship program took place at Abraham de Veer School.

This program began at the start of the 2023-2024 school year with a focus on empowering Generation Z students with knowledge and skills to help them grow as future leaders.

Drs. Ing. Edsel Lopez of PKF Financial Services Aruba VBA, shared that they held this program every Monday at Abraham de Veer School, where they shared their knowledge and experience with all the senior students on important topics such as time management, self-discipline, the power of their personal and professional choices, public speaking, and more.

During this program, they invited two guests. Mr. Jason Gerling, co-founder of BodyZone Gym Aruba, guided the students on the topic of self-confidence. He inspired and guided the students to have a positive mindset and provided practical advice on cultivating self-confidence.

In another session, Mr. Nicholas Gordon, an Abraham de Veer School alumnus and founder of Kulture Café in San Nicolas, shared his personal story with the students, inspiring and guiding them on their journey from being a MAVO student to becoming the founder of Kulture Café in San Nicolas.

The final session took place today, featuring a motivational speech by Jonathan Thiel, better known as Jeon. He inspired the students with his personal story, achievements, and challenges, motivating each student to pursue their dreams and the path to success.

Young student Moises Henry found these sessions very educational. “I feel like he taught me how to stand up for myself and achieve things in life. I liked the part where we worked on a plan of how we see ourselves in life.”

With this program, PKF Financial Services provided the knowledge and skills needed to prepare students for their next step in their professional and personal lives. They are very proud of each of them and wish them all success in their final exams in the coming weeks.

PKF Financial Services Aruba was founded in July 2023, reflecting their commitment to creating positive change in our community. They are proud of the positive impact this program has on students, especially at a time when such programs are necessary and important in our community. PKF Financial Services Aruba is committed to continuing this program, inspiring and guiding as many students as possible towards their future.

They are confident that this program will inspire others to give back to the community by sharing their professional knowledge and experience with the upcoming generation and thus continue to guide our future leaders.
