Twenty participants have achieved their certificate for the first module of Papiamento correction

On Saturday, the first module of Papiamento correction concluded, and all the participants obtained their certificates. Over a period of three months, the students learned the various rules and grammar of Papiamento.

Glenda Reiziger, president of the Papiamento Correction Foundation, expressed that the Papiamento teachers commented that the course went very well. The participants, the students, were enthusiastic about the module. The members of the foundation want everyone to continue with the second module.

That was the goal of the organization that the foundation set. The idea was for more people to make good use of Papiamento and write it correctly.

Ann Angela, a participant, found that the course went very well. Even though she speaks Papiamento and is convinced that she speaks it well, in this course, she learned many things she was doing wrong, even in her writing style.

She recalls that when she returned to Aruba, she started working at the Diario. Here, Angela was writing Papiamento differently. She was convinced that what she was doing was right. During this course, Angela learned other rules about how Papiamento should actually be written.

Solange Tchong, another participant, expressed that she had a fruitful and good experience. She learned a lot. She believes that the Papiamento Correction Foundation made an effort to provide the students with a very interesting first module. During the lessons, the students placed a lot of emphasis on listening and speaking skills. This gives the students the right tools to apply them in their daily lives but also in various professions.

The group of students was quite large and it was great to see. The group consisted of people from different sectors of Aruba who participated in the Papiamento course. Tchong believes that every professional in their field could have had the opportunity to learn more during this course.
