ELMAR: Water got into a transformer house and left Noord without power

Related to the power outage that affected the Palm Beach and Kamay area this morning, NV ELMAR informed the public that around 10:29 am, a report was received of a malfunction in the Palm Beach area. Immediately, technicians were mobilized to address the situation.

Upon arrival, NV ELMAR technicians found that it was a short circuit in the transformer house in Palm Beach that left the Palm Beach and Kamay areas without power.

The cause of this interruption was due to landscaping work being carried out nearby by a local company, and water entered the transformer house. By 11:39 am, power supply was restored to all affected areas.

N.V. ELMAR emphasizes to its customers that uninterrupted power supply is an essential goal in NV ELMAR’s daily operations, and therefore, apologizes to consumers for the inconvenience that these (nearly daily interruptions) may cause.
