Eight motorcyclist from Aruba competed in Orlando Speed World

A group of motorcycle riders from Aruba received an invitation from Willy Lopez to participate in the “Bracketazo para Papá” event at Orlando Speed World, in Orlando USA. Among the eight motorcyclists who competed were Kennedy Geo, Marvin Alberto, Gio Heronimo, Miljenka Franken, and Angelo Ras. They competed this past weekend, but there were some challenges along the way.

On Friday, Kennedy Geo, a motorcycle rider, clocked a time of 7:21 and was number 1 in qualification in the Quick System Bike category. However, on Saturday, Geo’s motorcycle had an engine problem. This required taking out the entire motor and putting in a new one. Geo explained that they had to stay up all night to fix the issue in order to be able to compete.

This wasn’t the first time Geo competed in the USA, nor was it the first time he encountered problems with the motorcycle. In Valdosta, Georgia, he also had a similar issue. He finds that Orlando Speed World, despite all the issues he has encountered here, is not bad.
Geo mentioned that they have two more races lined up. They will return in the months of September and December.

Marvin Alberto, motorcyclist, indicated that this was his first time competing in Orlando. Last year, his brother competed in Valdosta, Georgia, and this time they are all together as a group. They are with Ras Racing, and this time they are competing to represent Aruba. He was thrilled with the Bracket Racing competition. The treatment they received was great, and they had a good time. If everything goes well, they plan to leave the motorcycles in the USA for three races, as they will be back in September and December.

Gio Heronimo, motorcyclist, indicated that the experience was great. They were a bit late at times, but everything went well, and they were treated well. He mentioned that he achieved his personal best, which was 7:32. He is happy with his result, but regrets getting a ‘red light’. Heronimo mentioned that if everything goes well, they are thinking of leaving the motorcycles in the USA for three races, as they will be back in September and December. He finds that it was even hotter in Orlando than it is in Aruba, but he is happy that experienced his best time.

Miljenka Franken, motorcyclist, said that everything started with a phone call, and now she’s in Orlando to compete. This was her first time competing in Orlando. As for the motorcycle, it had an entirely new setting, which they now have to go and fine tune to improve her time a bitmore. She is happy with her result, but her goal is to ride within a seven-second time.

Angelo Ras, motorcyclist, said that the experience was good and there were many people. He was pleased that his motorcycle performed well and the plan is to be back by December. His wish is to achieve a six-second time before returning to Aruba.
