Yesterday, drugs were found by Customs during a cargo inspection aboard the plane Amerijet. The drugs were inserted into tubes that were on the way to Hong Kong by UPS. The sender of the package was Angelina Solognier.
Like in other parts of the world, in Aruba, cargo is thoroughly checked throughout the shipping process to its arrival at its final destination. And still, people continue to believe that it is easy to send drugs or illegal cargo for shipment.
Transport companies also check the offered freight for irregularities, and the authorities also carry out checks at various points during the shipment. Customs has handed over the package to the Aruba Police Force’s organized crime department for further investigations, under the supervision of The Public Prosecution Service.
