Prime Minister: Emmaschool teachers will receive answers by Tuesday

In a statement given by the Prime Minister in the early afternoon, she talked about the meeting she had with a delegation from the labor union SIMAR. This was related to the walkout of the teachers who disagree with the way Emmaschool and Scol Paso Pa Futuro will be merged.

This morning, teachers and labor unions SIMAR and SEPPA handed in a manifesto. They received an invitation to meet with the Prime Minister, who listened to them and said that she would discuss this topic at the next Council of Ministers.

Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes admitted that she did not deepen herself in the problem but did follow it through the news. But did decide to meet with them anyway and listen to their concerns. The letter stated that the teachers would want an answer whether the two schools would merge or not no later than Tuesday, March 9th.
