A serious accident occurred shortly after midnight Saturday night in the Westpunt area, resulting in the death of 17-year-old Noah Hietbrink.
According to our sources, Hietbrink was riding a motorcycle when he swerved and crashed into rocks alongside the road. The crash was so severe that paramedics were unable to do anything more for him when they arrived. A doctor pronounced him dead at the scene.
An investigation began immediately. Family members arrived at the scene some time after being notified of the accident. Victim Support assisted the victim’s mother. Police Chief Commissioner Ramon Arnhem was also present and accompanied the mother to see her son following the accident.
The fatality brings Aruba’s number of traffic deaths in 2026 to 11.
