This Sunday, Surfside Beach will host the Aruba Open Water Swimming Championship, where swimmers from across the island will compete for national titles in open water events.
With race distances ranging from 1K up to the main 10K event, spectators can expect an exciting morning filled with endurance, determination, and high-level competition.
Race schedule:
8:00 AM – 10K
8:05 AM – 1K
9:00 AM – 5K
9:05 AM – 3K
The Aruba Aquatics Federation is inviting the public to come out and support the athletes as they take on the waters off Surfside Beach and represent their clubs with pride.
Boat owners and operators are also being asked to exercise extra caution in the Surfside area during the morning hours, as race routes will be active. Their cooperation is important to ensure a safe and successful event for all participants.
The public is encouraged to attend, support the swimmers, and witness the crowning of Aruba’s next open water champions.
