‘Centro man na Obra’ celebrated Halloween differently

Saturday night, ‘Centro Man na Obra’ celebrated Halloween. Every year in October, the school organizes a week-long of activities. Because of the pandemic Covid-19, they planned the activities differently this year.

Elvira Tromp, the headmaster of ‘Centro Man na Obra,’ which is a foundation for adults with intellectual deficiency, explained that they wanted to do something special for a few of their clients. ‘Centro Man na Obra’ has 75 clients, but they couldn’t invite all clients because of the hygiene regulations and social distancing.

The team, together with some of the clients, organized a few activities. The clients used their creativity, paint, and crafts. What started small turned into something big. According to Tromp, the clients really enjoyed it.

There were five tents, and two leaders of each group had to choose a theme and decorate it accordingly. Each tent had an interactive game for the clients to play. There were even judges who had to vote for the most creative tent.

Each group had to choose a theme fit for Halloween, and they even had a haunted house, which was a total surprise. The headmaster thanked the team who worked day and night to make the event possible. Tromp also thanked those who donated what was needed and Lion Club, who gave a hand where needed and provided a treat for the clients.
