Wednesday around 2.15 pm, police patrols rushed to Mundo Nobo Supermarket after receiving a call about a man who tried to kidnap a 7-year-old child.
The child’s mother spoke to the police explaining that her child was with the grandmother who left the child in the car. Suddenly the child saw an unknown man approaching the vehicle. Afraid, the child ran out of the car and entered the supermarket. After explaining what had happened, they notified the police, while the suspect took his bicycle and went to sit in the vicinity of the supermarket.
The suspect declared that he wanted to ask his cousin in the supermarket for something to drink, but nobody in the supermarket knew him nor was related to him. Because there wasn’t enough proof of kidnapping intent, they only took his information and told him to abandon the site.
