Neighbors of parcel 60-m in Paradera are fed up with the number of dogs living there, disturbing the neighborhood. They decided to call the authorities, who, on their terms, decided that the dogs must go. They were living in a horrible situation.
Veterinarian Irene Croes told 24ora.com, that was at the site, that the situation was awful. Two of the dogs were tied to a very short chain and without water. It was visible that the dogs were thirsty and were looking for water desperately.
Present today at the site was personnel of KPA, City Inspector, Veterinary Service, Department of Public Health. “This isn’t the first time that the lady is doing this. A few years ago, during a raid at her house, they found animal corpses, and she couldn’t provide them with the necessary care. Some of the dogs are well-taken care of.”
With approval from police, veterinarian Croes took the dogs that looked dehydrated and malnourished away.
The lady, known as Kiki, explained that she takes in dogs that nobody wants anymore. And feels that they did not give her a chance to look for a solution and instead are taking the dogs to the animal shelter where we all know what will happen to them, they will be killed. “I invested a lot of money in taking care of these dogs, like vaccination, and some were ready to be sent to the Netherlands. Now, all that money has gone down the drain,” is what Kiki said.
She finalized by saying that 5 dogs are ready to go to the Netherlands.
