On Friday evening, an accident occurred on the road in Rooi Bosal, resulting in a car hitting a streetlight. The pole had a transformer on it, consequently leaving the Rooi Bosal area completely without power.
Several other parts of the neighborhood were also left without power. The work on this lasted for 4 to 5 hours to restore the power.
Around the time of the incident, there was a “brown out” and 24ora.com reported that Aruba had already gained power. All except for Rooi Bosal where there was a traffic accident.
Both SETAR and NV Elmar personnel had to come to the scene to perform the necessary work to restore power to the neighborhood. Power was restored at around 12:45 am.
