25 new positive cases registered today

Aruba registered a significant increase in positive cases today compared to the last few weeks. In the following days, the crisis team will be monitoring these developments closely. No conclusions can be drawn based on the results of just one day. There is also no need to raise panic in the community at this moment.

According to today’s summary, 8 people have recovered, while there are 25 new COVID-19 cases, of which all 4 are non-residents. (Positivity rate for today is 29%). Total active cases for today is 91, total tests taken at the airport and hospital are 302. The laboratory situated at the hospital tested 73 residents; meanwhile, COVID-19 related deaths are at 45.

Average weekly cases are 9, and the average daily “positivity rate” weekly is 12%. The community needs to remain alert, continue to take care, and follow all regulations to avoid spreading the virus. If you have any symptoms, call your doctor to take a test to ensure you have COVID-19 to avoid spreading it.

Continue applying social distance, hygiene, continue using mouth masks, and keep testing for COVID-19 if you have symptoms, isolate and quarantine when indicated, and continue complying and taking care.

Aruba is counting on you!
