On the first day back to school after a vacation period, there was traffic congestion this morning. This was especially noticeable around 7:20 am when an accident occurred at the intersection between George Madurotraat and Adriaan Lacle Boulevard.
A Hyundai Tucson heading south on Adriaan Lacle Boulevard got confronted with a Suzuki Swift from George Madurostraat that did not give right of way, causing a collision.
The Tucson then went on and hit a concrete fence, and the Swift stopped a bit further on the property of a house.
An ambulance arrived at the scene to treat the victims that were slightly injured. Police noted all declarations, and a tow truck removed the cars from the scene. The material damage was considerable.
