DOW searching for solutions for WVB and Green Corridor

Different challenges rose for DOW after finalizing the big projects, Watty Vos Boulevard (WVB) and Green Corridor. They also received additional questions from the community about developments that take place on these two main roads.

What the public frequently encounters are holes in the roads.

Ir. Jossy Kock, head of the execution department and in charge of the PPP unit, explained that the moment a car is damaged due to a hole or obstacle in the road, there is a process to follow.

The driver must call the insurance company, which would then send the complaint to the person who would make the report. The report must be handed in at DOW, who will then pass it on to the contractor.

Another aspect is the geotextiles that could be seen at the bridges in Meiveld and Hato.

This material has holes where vegetation could grow through it. Even with heavy rain, the sand would not fall out. It will take time before the grass will grow and become visible.

On the road of Tanki Leendert/Solito, there are different sewage covers where the road needs to be leveled. This project will be done together with FCCA because they are the ones who requested their sewerage to connect with that of the Government.

Another issue is Watty Vos Boulevard that when it rains, the road fills up with water. According to ir. Jossy Kock they are already working with a contractor to attend to all these points.
