Community: the government’s decisions are wrong

The community is angry due to the recent decisions made by the government in the last few days. One of these decisions was the closing of the grocery stores. This resulted in long lines at the grocery stores for all those taking the opportunity to do their Easter groceries while they still had the chance.

On the 29th of March, the government announced that the closing time was 9:00 pm, however, on the 1st of April they made a sudden change to this rule, resulting in a frenzy of people desperate for their groceries.

Local

A local citizen expressed their thoughts regarding this decision to close grocery stores. They state that this decision lacks logic and that it does not line up with reality. Minister Maduro is not a businesswoman, so she does not know what is happening at this moment. The locals believe that all businesses are suffering; what is a decision like this one going to resolve?

They are attempting to lower the number of contagions, however, bars remain open, although alcohol is a big reason for the spread. Since we are dependent on tourists, establishments cannot close.

Many tourists do their groceries the moment they arrive. Before Minister Xiomara makes any decisions, she must first consult those directly involved with tourism. Tourist: “a madhouse” expressed the tourist. They understand that restaurants were most affected, but now the question remains: “why grocery stores?”
the tourist mentioned that they arrived yesterday and that the lines are ridiculously long. They feel like these new rules affect tourists as well as locals, and they definitely did not prevent any gathering of people to take place.
