DVG eliminated the Club Don Bosco vaccination location and MFA registrations

The Department of Public Health (DVG) has communicated via a press conference that there will be a few changes made regarding the registration and administering of vaccinations against COVID-19. DVG argues that these adjustments to the vaccination campaign will increase the capacity for vaccination, relocate employees and introduce changes into the organization that will result in maximum efficiency. It is asked that everybody take a good note.

Starting on Tuesday, April 6th, Don Bosco Club in Noord will no longer function as a vaccination location. The two remaining locations that will serve as vaccination locations are Centro Liberator Betico Croes in Santa Cruz and Santa Teresita Center located in San-Nicolas, on Monday through Saturday non-stop from 8:30 am till 7:30 pm.

The week of the 5th till the 9th of April will be the last week in which the community can utilize the MFA Santa Cruz, MFA Paradera, or MFA Noord to help with registrations. Starting on Monday the 12th of April, it will no longer be possible to register at any MFA.

Starting on Tuesday, April 6th, the operating hours at the vaccination locations Centro Liberator Betico Croes in Santa Cruz and Santa Teresita Center located in San-Nicolas will be operational from Monday through Saturday from 8:30 am till 7:30 pm, non-stop.

Starting on Monday, April 12th, those who would like to register for the vaccination are encouraged to do so via the Aruba Health App, via www.dvg.aw or via www.arubacovid19.org. those who are unable to register at the abovementioned sites can visit the vaccination locations Centro Liberator Betico Croes in Santa Cruz or Santa Teresita Center located in San-Nicolas for help with the registration.

The ‘Walk In’ without an appointment service still applies only to those aged 60 and up. All citizens below the age of 60 will need an appointment to receive their vaccination.

People who do not have proper documents, and who are therefore illegal citizens on Aruba, who wish to get vaccinated can get help registering every Thursday at HIAS Aruba, located at Arendstraat 116, phone: 7307770.

People who are living, working, or studying/doing an internship for a long period of time on Aruba who do not have AZV can still register at the MFA locations this week. Starting in the week of the 12th of April, these people will have to register at the vaccination locations Centro Liberator Betico Croes in Santa Cruz or Santa Teresita Center located in San-Nicolas.
