The Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association (AHATA) shares the concern of the community relating to the sudden and imminent rate increase in water and power usage. For this reason, according to their explanation, it puts financial pressure on the local consumers.
These were the comments shared in a letter to the director of the national water and power plant, along with a copy of the letter to the Government, Parliament, and all stakeholders.
In the letter, they explain how they reviewed the announcement made by WEB regarding the increase, and how they were left with various questions. This is the reason why they have sent a letter to the management of WEB with the hope of receiving a quick and transparent response.
